Strawberries and blue cheese salad

Fresh lettuce of any kind, washed and cut up
3/4 cup walnut pieces
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. sugar
6-8 nice strawberries, sliced
4-6 oz. blue cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Vinaigrette dressing of choice
Melt butter in a good skillet; add walnut pieces, stir until coated over medium heat; do not let burn. Stir in sugar, lower heat, and keep stirring to cover all the nuts. As the sugar turns to a glaze, cut off heat and let cool, still occasionally stirring.
To the lettuce, add sliced strawberries, crumbled blue cheese, and sugared walnut pieces (when cooled). Finish with salt, pepper and vinaigrette,
