Shopping and Cooking With a Group From New Zealand

Today we had a group from New Zealand here for the Path to Paella one day class. What a wonderful group! They had not been to Spain before and they felt this was a perfect way to have a fast-track on the food and culture here in our area so they would be for familiar with the area and cuisine during their vacation.

What was interesting was this group have been friends since their children were in elementary school and they are all adults now.

This particular group's class was on a Monday so they were able to participate in the traveling market here in the area. They loved having the opportunity to shop in local markets, meet local people and spend a day as if they lived here in our little village.

When they left, I have to admit that I felt as if a group of friends departed. After spending a day together shopping and cooking you really do become closer. Cooking together truly brings people together. As sad as I am they left, we have another group arriving and another adventure ahead.
