Preparing for Our Pirate Party Dinner

by September 7, 2010

GAWD I am exhausted. The kitchen is in a shambles. Have to finish the prep for the Pirate Dinner on Wednesday. Two clients are coming over this evening and they want Baba Ghanouj. They are Spanish and have tons of eggplant in their garden, but they have never tasted Baba Ghanouj. Preparing that today and a few other "tapas" in between prepping tostones, grissinis, shrimp cakes, aioli and all the other Pirate stuff!

We went to the 4 stores yesterday to find the Zamborinas for the Conch Chowder and of COURSE no one has it. Tomorrow we will have to find a substitute.

OH OH OH and the other thing that happened last night? The house for the students across the street is not available for the check in on Thursday! My neighbor made a mistake. Although that is the bad news, the good news is she is giving the students this amazing townhouse facing the square. There will be a Medieval Faire happening this weekend so the location is perfect!

Friday is the first Path to Paella class and I am really looking forward to it.

OK back to work.
