Welcome Aboard Cocktail
Perfect Storm or Sex on the Beach Cocktail or ELECTRIC Ice Tea
Perfect Storm: Unleash your inner Buccaneer! This hurricane recipe is unparalleled for taste and drinkability! Everyone I've introduced it to has become hooked, and the bar that uses this recipe routinely runs out of glasses to serve in, due to the popularity of this tasty beverage! Blend of rums, vodka, gin, Chambord, triple sec and orange juice.
Sex on the Beach: Watch for sand! This is a delicious fruity drink that almost anyone will like. It's a great refreshing tropical highball that is wonderful on hot summer nights or afternoons at the beach. Pineapple, orange and cranberry juice with Peach Schnapps and Vodka
ELECTRIC Ice Tea: From here to Adam and Eve Bar (YES, there is a story here) This potent drink is very popular in Key West. Our version of Long Key Ice Tea is a cocktail made with, among other ingredients, vodka, gin, tequila, rum, lemon and a splash of cola. It tastes like ice-tea but packs a punch like TNT!
Tostones with Mojo sauce
Tostones are a twice fried green plantain similar to a thick “crisp” that you dip in a garlic mojo sauce.
Conch Chowder or Jolly Roger Salad
In the early 1800s Conch meat (pronounced "konk" or "conk") was a staple food of the early settlers in the Keys. It was also called “Hurricane Ham”. Natives of Key West, Florida and the Bahamas proudly call themselves conchs. In 1985, the harvesting of the conch was banned, and it is now illegal to take live conch in U.S. waters, where they are an endangered species, so most conch now comes from the various Caribbean islands. We will be substituting local clams for conch.
Jolly Roger Salad: Pear halves “skulls” on a bed of lettuce with “cross bones” of brie cheese served with a berry vinaigrette
Jerked Pork or Chicken
Served with seasonal sautéed greens and Island rice.
Jerk is a style of cooking native to the islands in which meat is dry-rubbed with a spicy mixture of allspice, Scotch Bonnet, cloves, cinnamon, scallions, nutmeg, thyme and garlic. This is served with seasonal greens and rice steamed in orange juice. Sweet Potatoes can be substituted when in season.
Key Lime Pie
Key Lime Pie: This famous pie is made with limes from Key West (YES we brought them back with us) in a cookie crust with fresh whipped cream. Perfect ending to your island experience.
