Nordic warm redwine toddy (gløgg) - serves at Christmas time

To make the extract:
3 sticks of cinnamon
10 whole cardamom capsules
20 whole cloves
3-4 bay-leafs
peel from 1 orange
1 sp brown cane sugar
Cook all ingredients in water that just covers for ½ hour.
Put in a jar and pour boiling water to fill the glass. Can be kept in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
To make gløgg: 1/4 of the extract and 1 bottle of spanish redwine - warm up to 65 gr. and serve with peeled almonds and raisins. Add cognac, port, rum or vodka to make it stronger.
