Margarita Pie

1.5 cups pretzels, crushed
8 TB butter
1 cup plus 3 TB sugar
1 envelop plain gelatin
1/2 cup Lime Juice
4 eggs separated
1 teaspoon grated lemon or lime zest
1/4 tea salt
5 tab Tequila
3 TB triple sec

grease pie plate. Combine butter, pretzels and 3 TB sugar press into pie plate

Place gelatin in lime juice for 5 min to soften. Beat yolks in double boiler, add 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in zest. salt and lime/gel mixture. Cook over simmering water until thick about 8 minutes. Remove from heat. Had booze. Place pan in cold water to chill. Beat egg whites, add rest of sugar until soft peak. Fold lime mixture until mixed, no white streaks and pour into pie plate and chill for at least an hour.
