Class begins at 10:00 AM with a brief discussion on the history and origin of Paella and dispelling a few myths about Paella. Learn why Paella made at home is superior to what you find in many restaurants, what are the three basic principles of cuisine development, how Paella originated in Spain,,, or DID IT? Then the class develops a list of ingredients for their Paella. We venture off into the village of Torrox to purchase what will go into our Paella. Class experiences shopping directly with many different vendors in the village. We will also show a few highlights of Torrox Pueblo along with a tour of the Olive Co-op with a wine tasting. Upon our return, we begin preparing our Paella. The group then sits down together for a lunch of home-made Sangria, Sopa de Ajo Blanco, Ensalada, your Paella and home-made flan. Your class ends at approximately 16:30. This is a perfect class for “foodies” here in Spain or visiting the area.  Price includes all materials, supplies, booklet, instruction, tour, tastings and lunch with wine 50 € per person.

Tapas and Wine PairingOne Day Class
NEW CLASS STARTINGLearn to cook in Spain at our Culinary School Casa Cebadillas where you can take Spanish cooking classes and learn paella recipes as well as a Tapas class with Wine Pairings. You will be given a brief history of the origin of Tapas and then have a hands-on experience making a few tapas and then move on to pair your home-made tapas with local wines. Price includes instruction, booklet with history and recipes, wine and tastings.
