Irish Soda Bread

Set oven to 200C.
3 Cups of Plain White Flour
1 Cup of Bran
1 Cup of Wholemeal Flour
1 heaped teaspoon of salt, sugar and baking soda
1 Pint of Buttermilk
(Makes one loaf)
Use an earthen ware tin with a lid.
Sprinkle a little wholemeal flour in bottom on tin, don’t grease the tin.
Mix all dry ingredients, add milk and mix well.
Put into earthen ware tin put lid on and put in oven for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes turn oven down to 150C and cook bread for a further 15 minutes.
Leave to cool in tin then turn out.
