Fruit Scones to be served at Breakfast

(Betty & Tony's B&B, Orillia, Ontario, Canada)
1 cup (8 oz.) Flour
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Baking Powder
1 ½ oz. Butter
½ oz. Sugar
1 tbs. Each of Raisins & Cranberries
1 egg
Milk to mix. Rub butter into flour, salt and B.P. Add the sugar and fruit. Mix with egg and milk. Drop onto a baking tray. Bake at convection 325° for 15 minutes.
For a savoury treat replace fruit with 3 chopped rashers of cooked bacon and about 3oz. of old cheese (grated).
