Maria was fun to watch. We had a private class with her which made our experience even more enjoyable. I learned more than I thought I did. I came home and prepared her salad. She was a definite plus.
Our Paella class began when we arrived in Torrox the first day because the Fiesta was in the town square. We experienced the local Spaniards making their own local paella in a very large paella pan over an open fire. Then we were sent out to shop and prepare for our paella which was excellent!!. I enjoyed this very much!!! And the end result............Yum!!!
Sending us out into the local markets and shop for our food and prepare for our own menu was brilliant!!! We had to try and speak the language, experience the true Spanish culture, the people, the sights, smells and sounds...bravo!!! An experience that truly made this culinary student desire an encore!!Janet Baumgardner May 2010
